Reason for Recognition? I had the opportunity to visit with a patient after Valarie completed an INR visit with her this morning. She only had positives to say about how Val treated her during her visit! The patient stated she had some concerns about Covid and you were able to make her feel comfortable about starting to get out into the public and keeping her social distancing. She stated you were respectful, listened carefully to her and explained her care in a way she could understand. The patient was holding her instruction sheet with her calendar and daily dosing which she stated is very important to her even though she knows the dose did not change. She felt you spent enough time with her. Nice to see you introduce yourself in the waiting room and walking her back to the waiting room after her visit.

The patient verbalized understanding of wearing a mask and feels very comfortable with having staff wear the protective gear here. She stated “I am very very happy to have this place here for us. I use it frequently.”
