Reason for Recognition? A hospitalized patient missed a surgical follow up appointment with Allina podiatry due to her hospitalization here. Allina requested that she be seen here if possible, today/tomorrow as it was a time-sensitive situation to have her follow-up done. Dr. Valentine's nurse, Patience, took time to explain the situation to Dr. Valentine and he offered to come up and check on this patient before she discharged. The patient got excellent, and timely care thanks to their combined extra efforts and gift of their time!

Reason for Recognition? He is an angel!
He helped out by graciously helping a MDS patient reinsert his indwelling catheter. He did the bladder scan. He was helpful with the patient, and the patient told me he only wanted Tom to change his catheter in a month. He had nothing but great things to say about how professional and knowledgeable Tom was about his situation.
Tom maintained communication with the MDS team. And he was just so kind and helpful.
We appreciate you Tom! Thanks for all your help

Reason for Recognition? I had a critical lab value that I needed to get to a RN stat. Matt was the first RN to volunteer his time to take on such a critical task. He went above the call of duty doing this, since it was not even his patient. He was quick to tell the provider, thus saving precious time. How many lives has this man saved? 10? 20? possibly even more, the world will never know.

Reason for Recognition? Matt was working in the ER on a day that wasn't very busy. He saw a patient or family member who needed to be wheeled somewhere in the hospital. Going above and beyond the call of duty, Matt took the individual where they needed to go. Thank you for your hard work and dedication Matt!
