JULY Wellbeats fitness class schedule

Wellbeats virtual fitness classes have started at the FirstLight Community Wellness Center! The Wellbeats program provides a variety of on demand certified fitness instructors, utilizing comprehensive, and on trend content.

This is a supervised group class format, following along the instructor on the screen.  This format provides encouragement, motivation and instruction, that you might not get at home.

Classes are also open to community members that have purchased a walking track membership.

Try a class and see what Wellbeats is all about!  Classes are free for the summer and will have a fee starting in the fall.

In order to participate in a class, employees must have completed their online education for the wellness center in SWANK and received their key fob from HR.

Positivity in the Park

It was a great afternoon for Positivity in the Park!  There were so many cool yard games but the hit of the day was the giant Kerplunk game.

Kids enjoyed freezies and loved the color-changing stress balls, which prompted great conversations with kiddos about how to manage stress.  What a great way to connect our community in a positive way.

Thank you to the Substance Abuse Coalition of Kanabec County and the Kanabec County Sheriff’s Department for co-sponsoring the event.

Wellness Center Parking Update

There is a lot of activity around the Wellness Center today!  The main parking lot and the lot to the north are getting their final layer of asphalt today, along with having lines painted.  It is looking great!

Parking is available today and tonight in the adjacent school bus lot, located between the main school lot and the Wellness Center.  Use the connecting sidewalk to enter the Wellness Center.
