New Intranet coming soon!

The rumors are true! You may have already heard that our intranet is getting a major refresh, and it’s launching the evening of September 5. The update will happen automatically, so there’s nothing you need to do.

The redesigned intranet will be easier to use, more organized, and more engaging, with photos and our full brand colors. Marketing worked closely with many departments across Welia Health to make sure the new site better fits staff needs.

See something missing? Email tanderson@welia.org — we’ll keep making updates even after launch.

Stay tuned!

Our vestibular therapists can help rehabilitate a wide variety of conditions ranging from general balance challenges, concussions, and acute or chronic dizziness including vertigo (sensation of spinning) and unsteadiness. We have infrared video technology to assess eye movements to help diagnosis conditions such as BPPV, hypofunction, and help screen for strokes. We want our older adult population to know that a decline in balance can be challenged and improved at any stage in life.

Welia Way – Body Language Validation aka Good Catches!

One of our goals this year was to present information to Welia’s employees and improve our validation of the information being taught.

Happy Heroes (Patient Experience) is kicking off September as a validation month and utilizing a new tool (new to some) called Microsoft Forms. Please complete this form to recognize employees who use positive body language. Those who complete the form will be entered into a drawing to win a pack of four movie theater tickets to the Paradise Theater in Mora.

The Happy Heroes recognizes that some employees’ body language is easy to view, and others are not, as you may only communicate with them via teams, phone, or email. So, we ask that you be creative in allowing every employee to be validated in their positive body language.

Remember, body language can include eye contact, shared laughter, empathetic and supportive behavior, smiling, open posture, leaning in, tone of voice, patience, and speaking slowly and clearly.

Let’s have fun nominating each other and watching for positive body language.

If you have not seen the fun body language video starring some of our own, please take the time to view it here!

Have fun! ❤ Happy Heroes
