DESCRIPTION:The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course\, presented by the American Heart Association\, trains participants on how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. It reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the 2015 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid. \nWhat you’ll learn \n\nMedical and injury emergencies\nPoison and environmental emergencies\nPreventing illnesses and injuries\nControlling bleeding and bandaging\nChild and Infant CPR\nUsing an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)\nResponding to choking in infants and children\n\nWho should attend?\nThis course is ideal for anyone involved in childcare\, including: \n\nChildcare workers\nDaycare employees\nTeachers\nCamp counselors\nParents\nGrandparents\nBabysitters\nAnyone who wants to be prepared!\n\nCertification\nUpon successful completion\, you will receive a two-year certification card from the American Heart Association. \nCost\n$85.00 (payable on the day of the class by cash\, personal check\, or business check). \nRegistration\nRegistration is required.
