Personal Safety & Threat Awareness for Health Care Personnel

Potential violence by a patient or family member can happen at any time and the safety of you, your patients and your co-workers must come first.
• This course is specifically designed to teach you how to utilize de-escalation techniques and other measures to prevent violence.
• Simple, effective restraint techniques will be demonstrated. Basic self-defense techniques will be taught
• 2, 4-hour sessions available
• 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
• Instructor: Steve Anderson, Sergeant (RET) from PST (Protect & Serve Training, LLC)
• Location: Grand Event Center, Mora MN
• Pre-registration is required
• Open to any FLHS employee
• Water & snacks will be provided

Office Moves
There have been spaces rearranged since the New Year:
- Melissa VanderVegt and Dawn Crain have moved into what was previously Ronda Jannett’s office.
- Anna Schultz is taking on the role of Volunteer Coordinator (in addition to her HR duties) and will continue to be located in Human Resources.
- The space next to Melissa and Dawn is being transitioned into a lactation room. There will be more communication on this when the remodel is finished.
