UPDATE: Invest for Welia Health

The Invest Program is now up and running but here are some important things you need to know before you enroll or re-enroll, please read the entire email (I know there is a lot).

  • If you accidentally signed up for the Medica Rewards program (rather than the Invest program) and you want to keep the same email you will have to contact Virgin Pulse directly to have your email address removed and this process will be completed during the call.  The phone number is located in the attached Guide and is 1-833-450-4074.  You will have to do this BEFORE enrolling into the Invest program.  If you want to use a different email to enroll you DO NOT have to do this process.  This is only for the individuals who signed up in the Rewards program on or after 1/1/2020.   (attached is the members guide)
  • Previously Medica agreed to give Invest employees credit for meeting the 3 activities for the 7 out of the 20 required days during the month.  We have been able to get approval to increase for the entire month of January, this means if you register by the end of the month you will receive credit for the entire month!
  • We have identified some issues with the current Max Buzz activity tracker, Medica has given us an upgraded activity tracker called “Max” that will track sleep better for the night shifters, it also has a different charging port and other advancements.  These are available for all employees who would like to switch devices (free if you qualify for the Invest Program).  You can trade yours in for the upgraded to the HR suite during regular business hours.  I will be changing out devices to Hinckley & Pine City on 1/20/20.  I will be in Hinckley from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. and Pine City 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.  For the night shifters, Jamie Welton (hospital nursing administration) will have them to hand out, Jamie Welton is available starting at 6:30 a.m., beginning on Thursday, January 16th.  The HR Suite will be open until 5:30 p.m. on January 16th for the 2nd shift.  By all means, if you want to keep the Max Buzz and it is working adequately for your needs, please feel free to keep using it.   If you work the night shift, you will have to switch it out to track sleeping adequately.
  • If you do not have a smart phone I am working with our Information Technology department to get an icon for desktops, we want to ensure everyone has the capability of being apart of this program.  I will send out an email once this is complete.
  • The portal does show 7,000 steps but when an employee checks the Trophy page it will reflect the number of steps needed as 10,000.  See screen shot below:

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.  We do understand that there has been a lot of communication and some frustration getting this program up and running but we are hopeful with these adjustments that everyone will be successful in setting up the Invest Program for 2020.

Please reach out with any questions you may have or if you have any issues regarding any part of this process.

Invest Program – Update from Medica

Medica has identified an issue with the eligibility for Invest employees.  Employees who are eligible for Invest are currently unable to register on the mobile app or website.  We apologize for the delay and are working to correct the issue.  Please continue to wear your activity tracking device, it will track your steps and sleep 14 days into the past and will credit you back to January 1, 2020.  My Fitness Pal will also allow you to track your calories back to 1/1/20.  Because of this delay Medica will credit you for any lost days of earning opportunities until we have loaded your eligibility into our system.

If you created an account in 2020 under Medica My Health Rewards (gift card program) you will need to create a NEW account under Medica My Health Rewards Invest when you are able to access the Invest program.

We will keep you updated as to when the eligibility is entered into our INVEST site.
