It’s National Volunteer Appreciation Week and we are fortunate to have a fantastic group of volunteers at FLHS! FirstLight Healthcare Volunteers is made up of 58 men and women that gave 2437 hours of their time, $2000 in scholarships, and about $2000 to various departments throughout the facility in 2018.
Take time to thank our volunteers this week!

There is also an opportunity to ring on Saturday, December 22nd between 8am-10am (or longer). We have not reserved this time slot yet, but if you are interested in this time, contact Deb at dwright@welia.org This is a great opportunity for an entire department or family.
A big thank you to our Kanabec County Adopt A Highway Volunteers for cleaning up our ditches on Highway 65 in some chilly weather!
And thanks to Pam Tanner for organizing this event!
The annual Goldie Classic was held on Saturday September 8th at Springbrook Golf Course in Mora. FirstLight sponsored the Tiki Torch Toss at the FirstLight Luau on hole #4. We were able to raise $870 through our game! We also had a lot of fun getting participants to try the ‘hula’ hoop. It was a great day.
All monies raised were donated to Kick Cancer to the Curb.

The FirstLight water stop on Saturday August 18th was so much fun! This stop is the last stop until the finish for participants, so providing encouragement is important. Employees dished out encouragement in the form of great music, water, Gatorade, wet sponges, fruit and COOKIES to 5k and half marathon participants. Thanks for your service!
Volunteers included: Juanita Lietz, Brandi Usher and boyfriend Nick, and Deb Wright
