WOW Tip of the Week – Healthy Tips for Dining Out

If you are treating yourself to a meal out, here are some tips to help make it a dining experience that is both tasty and good for you!

Will the restaurant:

  • Leave all butter, gravy or sauces off a dish or on the side?
  • Serve salad dressing on the side?
  • Serve fat free (skim) milk rather than whole milk or cream?
  • Use only olive or canola oil when cooking?
  • Provide a carry out container so that at the start of your meal so you can set aside half of your meal to take home?
  • Accommodate special requests?

Select foods which are:

  • Steamed
  • Garden fresh
  • Broiled
  • Baked
  • Roasted
  • Poached
  • Lightly sautéed or stir-fried

Service Event for March – FOOD DRIVE

The Community Service Committee is sponsoring a FOOD DRIVE in the month of March.  Each department is asked to collect a specific item that is a high-priority item for our area food pantries.

Watch for a box in your department the week of March 1st with your requested donation item listed on the box.

We are pleased to announce a new marketing campaign that will begin hitting the local papers (this week) and featured within Google, Facebook and Pandora in the next few months.

This ad is the first of six concepts designed to target all the health stages of a women’s life.
