Every April, the American Heart Association promotes Move More Month – a push to move your body more to benefit your heart and your mind! We’re tagging along this year and challenging you to wear out your socks in April!
Take 10,000 steps or 20 minutes of intentional exercise daily (with one free day/week). Complete the challenge and you get a pair of Bombas socks! Want to take it up a notch? The employee with the most steps for the month and the employee with the most minutes of exercise for the month win a grand prize – a new pair of tennis shoes (two winners)!
What you need to know:
*Sign up is required – email wellnessemp@welia.org no later than Friday, April 1st to ensure your participation prize and chance at the bonus prize
*Get 10,000 steps/day or 20 minutes of intentional exercise/day
*You can do steps one day, minutes the next – switch it up to keep yourself motivated
*Keep in mind if you’re going for the bonus challenge, it would be best to choose only steps or minutes for the month 😉
*Choose your own free day, but only one per week
*Completed tracking sheet must be turned in no later than Friday, May 6th to earn your prize
*Watch the intranet for tips and activities throughout the month
